Some names that were left off the Oscars' "In Memoriam" segment included Andy Griffith, Phyllis Diller, Larry Hagman,Sherman Hemsley and Conrad Bain.  But it can be argued that they're all primarily TV people.

Janet Jackson got secretly married last year to her boyfriend, a Qatari businessman named Wissam Al Mana. 

Christina Applegate got married recently in a private ceremony, according to her rep.  The lucky guy is Martyn Lenoble. They've been together four years, and have a 2-year-old daughter.

Mark Wahlberg  was offered the part of Captain Kirk's dad in J.J. Abrams first "Star Trek" movie, but he turned it down because he DIDN'T GET IT.  He says, quote, "I tried to read the script, but I couldn't understand the words or dialogue or anything.  Then I saw the movie and I was like, 'Holy [crap] . . . I probably wouldn't pass up an opportunity to work with J.J. again."

TMZ says Andy Dick will be on "Dancing with the Stars" this season.

Michael Jackson's oldest son, 16-year-old Prince Michael, will make his acting debut on the season finale of"90210" in May. 

Ben Affleck shaved his beard hours after winning the Oscar for Best Picture. Apparently Ben felt the beard was good luck ... we're told Ben had facial hair when he re-emerged as a major Hollywood player.
