The upcoming one-hour TV tribute to the late Whitney Houston just added some more star power. Britney Spears announced she will partake in the CBS special, which airs November 16th.

 

Next Tuesday, the presidential candidates are doing a town hall-style debate in New York where people in the crowd can ask them questions. And Pizza Hut is offering FREE PIZZA FOR LIFE if you make it into the crowd, get on the mic, and ask the candidates if they prefer sausage or pepperoni on their pizza.

 

Kaley Cuoco will return as host of the People’s Choice Awards telecast in Los Angeles for a second year. The event honoring fan favorites in movies, music and TV is set to take place January 9th at the Nokia Theatre and will air on CBS.

 

Helio Castroneves and Drew Lachey were sent packing on “Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars” last night. Castroneves, Lachey and Sabrina Bryan were all in danger of going home. The lowest scorer Monday night was Bristol Palin, but she was not in the bottom two.

 

Retired astronaut Buzz Aldrin is set to step into the nerd world on “The Big Bang Theory.” The 82-year-old has scored a cameo on an episode of the CBS comedy.

 

Charlie Brown is coming to the big screen. A "Peanuts" movie will hit theaters in November of 2015. That year marks the 65th anniversary of the debut of the "Peanuts" comic strip, and the 50th anniversary of the "Charlie Brown Christmas" TV special.

 

The new seasons of "Community" and "Whitney" were supposed to debut next Friday . . . but NBC has pushed back them INDEFINITELY.  Meanwhile, Louis C.K. says his FX show, "Louie", is going to take a year off, so he has time to make the show even better.

 

"The Good Wife" had last week's best season premiere, with 9 million viewers checking out the show's return for a fourth season. Meanwhile "Jersey Shore" had the best premiere on cable, with 4.7 million people tuning in for the first half of their two-hour, sixth season premiere.

 

The nominees for the "40th Annual American Music Awards" were announced yesterday . . . and Rihanna and Nicki Minaj lead everyone with four nominations. The ceremony will air live on Sunday, November 18th .
