We've all done it. You know, snap a picture of yourself in front of something and tagged it with "selfie at _______". I just did it at work the other day. One thing that you should never do when taking a selfie? Snap it at a funeral...or your job (whoops). There's a new website for selfie's in serious places and it's called...wait for it.... SelfiesAtSeriousPlaces .
The website tracks down pictures from Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook of people taking selfie's in serious situations (such as a visit to the 9/11 Memorial) and posts it to the blog. Yes, it is fully mocking this people for taking pictures in situations where pictures don't need to be taken of yourself in front of something.
So the next time you're thinking "hey, I should take a picture of myself here!" stop and think, do you really need to? Is it really that important?
