Stuffing that scores the most love every year! Gerry's favorite is my sage and sausage stuffing. It starts out w/sage and onion stuffing. I like the Pepperidge Farms version. Start with:
2 1/2 cups low sodium chicken broth
1 cup chopped celery
1 large onion. chopped
1 14 ou. pkg. Pepperidge Farms sage and onion stuffing
1/2 sausage roll
Black pepper to taste and my extra touch- a couple dashes of sage! to make it pop.
Cook sausage over medium heat until browned (until center is 160 degrees) and then cool.
Mix the broth, seasonings, onion, (and the egg I always forget) with the stuffing. Add the cool to the touch sausage and mix evenly.
Put in 3 quart baking dish and cover.
Bake @ 350 for 30 minutes.
