Mix Hits 12:00 AM - 6:00 AM
Boy, I wish you could make this stuff up. But you can't. Here's the article below, courtesy of Jacksonville.com:
Larry's last name is almost unnecessary. To thousands of people, he is simply "that guy who took out a full page newspaper ad to ask for forgiveness."
The Orlando man, who declined to give his last name, set tongues wagging Tuesday when readers of the Times-Union saw his full-page ad on Page A-6.
"Please believe the words in my letter, they are true and from my heart. I can only hope you will give me the chance to prove my unending love for you. Life without you is empty and meaningless," the ad read in part.
The $17,000 mea culpa was to Marianne, his wife of 17 1/2 years. She left him almost two weeks ago, he said Tuesday afternoon.
This full page ad ran in Tuesday's Times-Union.
"It was a culmination of things," he said about his wife's departure, "but I am desperately trying to save our marriage."
His estranged wife won't call him, and she changed her cell phone number so he can't call her. Her parents, who live near Jacksonville, removed his name from the approved visitor list at their gated community so he can't get in to see her.
When his gift of five dozen roses did not get a response, he turned to the newspaper.
"I did it just to show her how much she means to me," he said. "I want everyone to know that."
He said he knows she saw the advertisement because a relative is still speaking to him.
"She said my wife read the ad and started crying. But so far I've had no response from her," Larry said.
The Times-Union's advertising department has a policy protecting the privacy of advertisers in the newspaper and declined to identify the man.
Jay Weimar, the newspaper's director of display advertising, said his department received a lot of calls from readers about the ad.
"They want to know if she has responded and if they have worked things out," Weimar said. "We tell them we are pulling for him."
Larry said he plans to give Marianne some time to sort things over.
"I do hope she comes back to me," he said. "I just love her to death with all my heart."
Is this creepy or romantic? I think it's kind of creepy. But then again, they were married for 17 years. What do you think?
This is the full interview with Jordan from Ready Set. Enjoy!
The chick playing tonsil hockey with The Biebs is 16-year-old Jasmine Villegas -- who also happens to be the opening act on Bieber's concert tour.
The photos were taken on Thursday, September 9 in Venice, CA by some Canadian tourist who just happened to notice his country's most famous pop star in the midst of a make-out session with the luckiest teenage girl on the planet.
The two had been rumored to be dating ... but they insisted they were just "really cool friends."
This will be the only time I ever say this in my life, so here it is: I envy the Biebs right now. *wipes forehead*. There, I said it!
That could possibly be the funniest mugshot ever.
Singer and songwriter Bruno Mars was arrested on suspicion of narcotics possession early Sunday morning at the Hard Rock, Las Vegas police confirmed.
Sgt. John Sheahan said Mars, whose real name is Peter Hernandez, was arrested at 2:40 a.m. Sheahan said Hard Rock security confronted him in a bathroom and discovered him with narcotics.
Sheahan said he did not know Sunday afternoon what drug Mars possessed.
Mars has soared to popularity this year. He is known for singing and also for co-writing the hits 'Nothin' On You' by B.o.B, and 'Billionaire' by Travie McCoy. He also co-wrote 'Right Round' by Flo Rida.
On Saturday, Mars had tweeted his fans asking them to come watch him perform at the Hard Rock.
We've all had it done to us. The person we like doesn't want to date us, so we're left to date someone else. Well Katy Perry got a chance to diss her old crush in front of a crowd at her alma mater.
I personally found this hilarious. So if you ever get famous, make sure to call out the person that didn't want to date you in high school!
Mike Posner loves his fans. This is the making of his second single "Please Don't Go" off of his debut album "31 Minutes To Takeoff"
Mr. West is back. After the whole "Best Album Of All Time" fiasco with Taylor Swift at the 2009 VMA's, 'Yeezy has released a ton of hit music this summer, in anticipation of his new album set to be released in November of this year. He'll be featured on the October edition of Urban magazine XXL and opens up about the Taylor Swift incident. Here's a snippet of what's in the article:
"I knew I wasn't in a great spot publicly after the incident, but I would just block it out and work as hard as possible and let my work be my saving grace. In a way, I had thrown a Molotov cocktail at my own career, and it gave me an opportunity, for the first time, to go away and find out who I was. Because I felt very alone."
The issue hits newsstands next week, so you can see Kanye's side of the story.
Singer-songwriter -- and frequent Twitter user -- John Mayer has decided to quit Twitter, theAssociated Press reports. The musician had more than 3.7 million followers when he signed off for the last time.
The departure comes three days after Mayer tweeted, "Self Portrait of The Artist Three Days Before His Metaphoric Retirement," along with a black and white photo of himself.
When asked for comment, his spokeswoman said he had discontinued his account with the micro-blogging service because his Battle Studies Tour is "now at a close and a return to the studio planned." Mayer plans to stay in contact with his fans through his blog.
Remember when he went on a "electronic cleanse" after the 1st of the year? Yeah, he'll be back.
Oprah just kicked off the last season of her self title show. This is her 25th year doing the show. And she just kicked it off by sending her audience to Australia! There will be two episodes of 'Oprah's Ultimate Australian Adventure,' which will feature O's biggest fans down under, in places like the Sydney Opera House. The trip will happen this coming December.
I wonder if I can use a sick day to go and see what great prize Oprah will hand out that day? My luck I'd get some Bath and Body Works stuff.
Recently, Kanye reached out through his Twitter page and apologized for his antics at the 2009 VMA's (as shown above). He apologized to Taylor Swift and said he had wrote a song that was so beautiful just for her, and if she didn't want to perform it, he would perform it for her. Sources say that Miss Swift does not want to perform it. "Taylor writes her own sounds and has been very successful at it"."Why would she want to sing one of Kanye's songs? The last thing she wants to do is give him any more attention or make him any money."
Those quotes make is seem very harsh, from one record executive. Kanye has already collaborated with one of the nations rising artists in Justin Bieber. How would you feel about a Kanye and Taylor Swift record? I'm not down for it at all.
Apparently, Miss Lohan is in talks with the Queen of Talk Shows about granting her the first post-jail interview. According to Radar Online, discussions between the actress and Oprah's team are "looking very good". Lohan is keeping her options open though.
My question is, how much is Crazy LiLo wanting for this first interview? We all know Oprah can give her the money, she bought everyone at her show a car a few years ago! How do you feel about this?
