  • Man Sees Jesus in What?

    Posted by Nick Steele

I've heard of people seeing Jesus in toast or a tortilla. I've even heard of them seeing Jesus on buildings and in smoke, but this one is a new one. This guy spilled fabric softener on his clothes and says he can see Jesus in the stain.

Surprisingly... it looks A LOT like Jesus with his arms extended and wearing a crown. There are some non believers who say that they see The Fonz or a juggler. What about you? Can you see it?

  • WATCH: Evolution Of Music

Follow this A Capella group through the history of music. From the 1100's all the way up too 2013. They mix in some of the great hits of the last 100 years and sound amazing doing it.

A quintet of singers, collectively called Pentatonix, start off with a haunting chant from the 11th century. They then move on to Pachelbel's Canon from the 1600s, followed by Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 from the 1800s. The group eventually sings its way into the 20th century and finally the present day, which features hits from Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Carly Rae Jepsen.

  • 6 Things You May Be Doing Wrong

    Posted by Nick Steele

From day to day I usually just do the things I have always done the way I have always done them. Well apparently I've been doing them WRONG! Have you?

Here are 6 every day things that you might be doing wrong according to Yahoo Health

    1.  Putting Leftovers Directly in the Fridge.  You especially shouldn't do it if it's something big, like leftover ham that hasn't been cut up.

When you put hot food directly into a refrigerator, the outside gets cold before the middle does, which can lead to food poisoning.  So it's better to let it cool on the counter for up to an hour, THEN put it in the fridge.

    2.  Picking Up Your Prescriptions at a Pharmacy Drive-Thru.  According to an Ohio State University survey of more than 400 pharmacists, a mistake with your prescription is more likely to happen, because working the drive-thru is more distracting than dealing with customers inside the store.

So if you really like the convenience of using the drive-thru, just make sure you double-check the prescriptions they give you.

    3.  Leaving Your Wallet or Handbag on the Kitchen Counter.  One study found that the bottom of purses had up to 10,000 bacteria per square inch . . . which can then end up on the food you cook.  So you're better off leaving your handbag or wallet pretty much anywhere else.

    4.  Snagging the Front Row at an Exercise Class, Where You Can See Yourself in the Mirror.  It's not PHYSICALLY unhealthy, but it can be MENTALLY unhealthy

A 2003 study of 58 women found that the ones who could clearly see themselves in a mirror while they exercised felt more anxious AFTER the workout.

With that said, all of the women in the study were at least slightly overweight.  So if you're ripped, front and center might be fine.

    5.  Cranking Your Headphones When You're in a Loud Environment.  Like a bus, a subway, or a plane.

Harvard researchers found that in reasonably quiet surroundings, people tend to keep the volume of their music at a safe level.  But once there's a little bit of background noise, 80% listen at an unsafe level.

If you have noise-cancelling headphones though, you might be alright.  In the study, only 20% of the people who used them listened at a level that could potentially damage their hearing.

    6.  Storing Your Coffee Beans in the Freezer.  Which most people do.  But storing them in the freezer doesn't actually keep them fresh, because every time you take them out to make coffee, their temperature fluctuates, creating condensation.

And condensation leeches out the flavor.  So you're actually better off keeping them in an airtight container right on your kitchen counter.

  • 30 Skiers Do a Back Flip!

30 skiers holding hands and doing a back flip at the same time? How can anyone ever top that. Check out the video!

  • Batman Doesn't Kill...Right?

Batman vs. The Penguin (with Patton Oswalt)

Well at least HE thinks he doesn't kill people. According to the funny guys over at Collegehumor.com Batman may not understand the concept of death. Which leads to an interesting conversation with Commissioner Gordon and the Penguin, who is played by Patton Oswalt.

  • No. Flipping. Way.

I'm not sure how this is possible and I honestly don't want to know. What you are looking at in the picture below ISN'T a paper mache project for a some kids science fair NOPE. The giant 22 foot thing you are seeing is a WASP NEST! (Eeeeeeeek!)

Officers were called out by worried neighbours of the empty home in the island's capital and say the nest was in an indoor hallway and contained literally millions of wasps.

Authorities have been unable to trace the owner of the house.

  • Shopping in Video Games Sucks

    Posted by Nick Steele
If you have played any game that required at least some strategy, then you know about the "stores" inside the games that you can buy better items to use. They usually cost an INSANE amount of money and usually don't make a huge difference.

The people over at Cracked.com show us what it's like IRL to be at one of those stores.

  • Bieber Gets Classy

    Posted by Nick Steele

Some may argue that Justin Bieber's songs are masterpieces out of the gate. But Steve Pycroft felt that, while Bieber's songs had potential, one song in particular coud be raised to a new — and baroque — level.

Pycroft took Bieber's pop tune "Beauty and Beat" and rearranged it for a performance by the countertenor Robin Blaze and the University of York Baroque Orchestra and Chamber Choir. The song maintains the original lyrics, but has a whole new feel when slowed down and classed up.

Surprisingly it came out REALLY good. You don't expect to hear the voice that comes out of that guy holding the book but it's pretty awesome!

Speaking of covers...here are a couple of my favorites. The first is a battle between electric cellos! It's pretty Epic. The second is the coolest way to sing "Sexy and I Know it" It will never be the same after you hear Noah sing it!
